Album Sleeve Of Mickey's Album
Here's a little something from Mickey's album

Spare a thought. Take time to think about it. Me and You.

This album is dedicated to my Dad Jimbo Harte
Sometimes right sometimes wrong. That sums it all up really, that line. It’s been the story so far and it’s been my life. I have a strange habit of learning from my own mistakes “The wise man learns from other peoples’ mistakes” But I like to find them out for myself… It makes life that bit more interesting. So I guess this album’s a bit like that a lot of things maybe I should have done or maybe not. But in the end I’m happy the way it turned out.

As some of you may know this album comes at this particular time as a result of public interest from the astonishing support I received on the National TV phenomenon “You’re A Star” so I felt it only fair to include some of the brill covers that I performed on the show i.e., The Undertones Teenage Kicks and Paul Brady’s The Island. These 2 songs have played a big part in my musical direction and influence.

I hope this album will give you a taste of the other side of me. The songwriter because primarily that’s what I am a singer/songwriter. Someone asked me recently how many songs I had written and I’m still not sure. But it’s in the hundreds. So choosing which ones to part with for this recording wasn’t that easy so I sent a load of demos to Jon Kelly the producer and trusted his direction and choice with a lot of them. Jon even found a song I had almost forgotten about.

I don’t think this is an album in any one particular style, but maybe an indication of somethings to come more like a selection of some of the strongest songs from the past few years. Please treat it as such and maybe even sit back, shup up, listen. I hope you enjoy this story so far…
